1. Who We Are
PTverse ("we", "us", or "our") is an educational platform designed for physical therapy students and licensed clinicians. We operate the PTverse website and installable progressive web app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and professional status (student or clinician)
- Optional Google sign-in information: your verified email, display name, and profile image supplied by Google. PTverse does not receive your Google password or access your Gmail inbox or Drive files.
- Usage data: practice questions answered, scores, study session length, features accessed
- CEU records: course titles, providers, hours, and completion dates you log manually
- AI Study Lab inputs: tutor questions, text, images, documents, and audio you choose to upload or record, plus the study materials generated from them
- Clinical-tool inputs and outputs: de-identified case details, charting drafts, evidence questions, and generated responses
- Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We never store card numbers.
- Device information: device type, operating system, and push notification token for notifications
- Marketing and analytics data: pages visited, campaign parameters, and advertising click identifiers used to understand which outreach leads to account creation and meaningful product use
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the PTverse platform
- To personalize your study experience and track your progress
- To send you CEU renewal reminders and study streak notifications (you can opt out at any time)
- To process your subscription payments
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising and improve how people discover PTverse
- To respond to your support requests
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Patient Information and Local Charting Data
PTverse is not offered as a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record or as a service for storing Protected Health Information (PHI). Do not enter patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, contact details, full-face images, or other identifying information. Use fully de-identified descriptions only.
Charting patient lists, saved sessions, and drafts are primarily stored in your browser for offline use. They may remain on a shared device until you delete them or clear browser storage. When you request AI assistance, the de-identified information needed for that request is transmitted to our hosting and AI service providers for processing.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Neon — our database provider, hosted on AWS with encryption at rest
- Vercel — for application hosting, server functions, file storage, analytics, and AI-provider routing
- OpenAI and Google — as AI model providers for generation, transcription, and evidence-synthesis features
- Resend — for account, transactional, and opted-in lifecycle email delivery
- Capgo — for delivering over-the-air app updates
- PostHog — for product analytics
- Google Ads — for advertising conversion measurement when you arrive through an ad
- Google Identity Services — when you choose Google to create or access your PTverse account
- Law enforcement or regulators — only when legally required
6. Data Retention
We retain account and synced product data while your account is active and as needed for security, billing, and legal obligations. Generated audio files and saved study materials may remain until you delete them or your account. Browser-stored charting data remains on that device until you remove it or clear browser storage. You may request deletion of your account and associated server-side data by emailing us; we will process requests within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
8. Children
PTverse is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
